  3. Beginner Boxing Lessons : Left Jab, Straight Right, Straight Left

The next combination we gonna work on. I am going to teach you boxing lessons.. I taught students a left right left called a one-two-three. Ahhmm.. what I try to instill upon them is that as you throw your step in and throw your first punch..

Okay..you throwing your second punch you are turning your body and right hand doesn’t have to be hundred percent if have power, you merely turning your body so that the second left jab turn with your body and you can deliver much more powerful and left jab..mmm.. but what I also want is rather than big open wide looping punches we want to try to keep everything nice & tight okay. So that you are firing from the central of your shoulders and you are firing from the center of your body.

That way your punches are nice and tight. You are firing from cheek, you are firing from your chin everything is nice and tight. So what I like to do is… i have a co hanger what I tell individuals Nick you step over..mmm…

What I try to say is.. okay new students go ahead and kneel slowly and hit the dead center of the co-hanger on the target three times with left-right-left.

In case you didn’t see the video in part 1 of this series… here it is again.
