Hi this is Tristan and Connor Lee from Austin Martial Arts Academy. We are online at www.austinmartialarts.com. Ok this next kick is called the round kick. Round kick, so I am gonna be using the mits again.
I am the coach. I am gonna hold the mit out right in front of her central line. Sometimes folks hold them out here or hold them out here. It is difficult to have a nice clean landing for your kick. So you hold the mit right in front of your partner remember the stretch and warm up first. If you are tight through the hips you can kick down here, real low. It’s not a promise still do you gonna get a great workout in developing good kick.
First thing is the chamber, so she coils the leg, ankle come back to the buttocks, there is an extension, all the way point the toes on this one, recoil and then she puts the leg down. So this is standing front kick front leg. Here it is. Great, don’t forget to breath. Ok now we gonna use the rare leg.
In order to do the rare leg, your hips need to open up. In order for your hips to open, your front foot must turn.
