Left hook generates a lot more power then your think…okay. Now we are talking about the jab..generating much power because it is forward and the hip doesn’t goes to it.
Thats not true with the left hook. because when you throw your left hook you are throwing your hip in to it. So you get lot of power with your right hook and your left hook. Okay..the way I like to throw hook is to throw my hip into it first and then follow with my arm and my hand…okay. Hoo…hoo…hooo..okay. Another very important..ahm.. thing to remember when you throw your left hook..you keep your right hand here.
Because two guys are throwing left hook at the same time and one guy is hand up and one guy doesn’t. The one with the hand down is going to hit to the ground. Here is why you keep your hand up, turn your hip, and whip it around so it looks some like this. Hoo..hoo..Have you watched my foot, I am pivoting on the ball of my left foot. Okay..I throw my hook, I don’t leave my foot facing forward..i pive it. Okay so you lift up your knee high and then you push it out.
Okay..same with the right leg you lift up the knee as high as you can and then you push it out with the body or foot or the heel. So be here..hoo..or here….hoo. Okay I do not try to knock the bag with the right hand or the round horse kick. its more of a force. so you lift up your knee and you snap him back. So left leg..turn the hip in to it and the same goes with the right leg. Okay..its the most basic combination of all is the basic left right..left hook okay. Left right left hook and now you put them together in a combination as much more effective.
Star up with the left hook once more ..left hook straight right to the left hook by left hook to the head. Okay you can start up from the straight right and then follow with that. Okay..put it together. Okay then follow that to the bag to the same way.
In case you didn’t see the video in part 1 of this series… here it is again.
