MMA Training Tips – help to Learn Effective Kicking Skills

Ok, moving in now with round house kick and side kick so we are going to incorporate moving skills into these attacks now. Just break down the balls, it will help the kids to start in from there.
So round house kick, kick with the top of the foot or the shin from that we are going to relate. Got up from there because the twist and then kick out like self. So back up from there, twist and kick. Halting those toes out. Ok, striking from that part from there, ok?
The second kick that we have is a side kick, really powerful kick. We are striking this one with the heel from this, use a leg like this time so as I come into the kick, shake of the leg and side kick out leg extending the heel. So again, change your leg up, side kick out and bring it back in like still from there.
So we do it up with using the lead leg. I will do it from the side angle so that you can see it a bit better. First I am going to do is I am sliding in to the kick by half stepping. So I am coming to the kick from step up, round kick and then move back up. The reason why I am doing this is because my opponent is not going to stand there so we need to be able to move in to the attack to get close there by sliding in.
So, the coming in, one and then coming back out of the kick. Side kick now with the heel, same movement moving in one and then coming back up. Thiiiiiis coming back up. You will be back up. Ok. Will you do it now? So we are doing full step feet movement back and then adding the kick in as well. So now we are going in there with round house kick, stepping in, stepping down and then coming right back to the stance. So kick and come back up.
Side kick, same leg, remember with the heel. So shaking with the leg, kicking, move forwards and back up to the stance very quickly. Ok, so again, Thiiiiiis… come back up. So want to be able to practice of either leg ok? With either kick to be able to develop that skill.
If you think you got that, next little stage that you can develop is what we call full slide from there. Specially useful I you are interested in the points barring applications. If you look at this kick from there, it has little bit of soft bounce. When I do it, I move two feet together, but suppose this leg moving first so moving in, and we are just kicking and back up. This looks hopping in and then I am kicking. Frot there, kick and then come back up. One more time, kick and then move back up itself.
That completes the side kick and the round house kick with the attacking movement skills incorporated.
